AQA GCSE Computer Science is available as an optional subject at GCSE. GCSE Computing counts as a Science subject towards a student’s English Baccalaureate (EBACC).

The OCR Level 1/Level 2 Cambridge National Certificate in Creative iMedia consists of two mandatory units and two optional units.
This qualification will assess the application of creative media skills through their practical use. They will provide learners with essential knowledge, transferable skills and tools to improve their learning in other subjects with the aims of enhancing their employability when they leave education, contributing to their personal development and future economic well-being. The qualifications will encourage independence, creativity and awareness of the digital media sector. Benefits
The course will consist of four units as follows:
1) One external exam - 25%
Three controlled assessments each worth 25%. The units are
1) Creating digital graphics
2) Creating a digital sound sequence
3) Digital; photography
Students studying the Cambridge Nationals Creative iMedia at Level 2 may choose to progress to our Cambridge Technicals Level 3 IT course at St Peter’s School. Most students who study ICT at St Peter’s Sixth Form progress to university.
The skills developed in this course provides a good skill set for gaining employment or further training as an apprentice after completing your studies.
