Enrichment

“We believe that every young person should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances” - DFE

At St Peter's we want all students to participate in extra-curricular activities.  Not only do we believe it enriches them by giving them new experiences but also helps them learn different skills and offers them opportunities to collaborate with others and learn more about themselves.

We have a vibrant Music, Drama and PE department with students taking part in both regular clubs and special events. Extracurricular activities are also offered by many other departments via the LAE curriculum, Learning Outside the Classroom opportunities and the Stretch and Challenge Clubs. This leads to a diverse range of offers from Astronomy and Cookery to Gardening and Archery. There really is something for everyone!  We also see a large number of students participate every year in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the Combined Cadet Force.

On this page you can find out more about the extra-curricular activities on offer at St Peter's.
