SEND: Key Stage 4

As students enter year 10, they transition back into mainstream lessons studying the full broad curriculum.  Those students who still require additional support at key stage 4, complete two optional subjects (which includes one humanities), ensuring they are completing eight subjects at GCSE or equivalent. Core PE time can be used to run 1:1 and small group interventions in KS4.

Official testing for GCSE Access Arrangements takes in year 10 in the Autumn Term. If a student meets the criteria for extra time or a reader and enough evidence from their subject teachers is collected, then we can apply for them to have official Access Arrangements.
