St Peter’s Celebrates Post-16 Examination Success

St Peter’s School is celebrating another year of exceptional Post-16 examination results, with students achieving outcomes that are above national averages and opening doors to a wide range of future opportunities.

This year, 80% of students have secured a place at their chosen university — a figure that surpasses the national average. Destinations include prestigious institutions such as the Universities of Bath, Exeter, Reading, Warwick, and the University of East Anglia.

Particularly notable are the vocational results, where students excelled in Applied General and Technical qualifications. Outstanding performances in Sport Studies, Health and Social Care, Hairdressing, and Fitness have enabled many students to progress directly into high-quality Level 3 apprenticeships with local employers or further study.

Academic results were also strong across a range of A-Level subjects, including English Language, English Literature, History, and the Sciences.

Executive Headteacher Christopher Bennet praised the determination and hard work shown by both students and staff:

“These results reflect the remarkable dedication of our students and the commitment of our staff. I am especially proud of the way our vocational students have performed — exceeding national averages and proving that St Peter’s provides an exceptional pathway for both academic and career-focused ambitions. Many of our students have overcome significant personal challenges, and their resilience and success are truly inspiring.”

The school also highlighted the crucial role of its teachers and support staff, whose expertise and encouragement have helped students meet and exceed their aspirations — whether progressing to university or embarking on a professional apprenticeship.
